The Department of Obstetrics Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at theUniversityof Maryland School of Medicine(SOM) in Baltimore is looking for a full-time Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) to join itsDivision ofMidwifery
The successful candidate will be joining a well-established group of 9 CNMs who provide full-scope care for our midwifery clients in several ambulatory care offices and at our affiliated hospital the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) where our CNM team offers 24/7/365 coverage.
Our team is expanding its L&D coverage (which includes triage intrapartum and postpartum coverage) to have 2 midwives available during peak volume hours. The primary role of the successful candidate will be to provide coverage as a second midwife in the hospital from approximately 12pm to 10 pm (although this may shift to 10-8 in the future). Additionally some overnight (1-2 nights per month) and fair share of weekend coverage (one 24 hour shift every 4-5 weeks) will also be expected Swing shift coverage is shared between 2 individuals which allows the opportunity for the successful candidate to participate in other Division activities such as coverage in the ambulatory care setting and educational activities of the Department for residents and medical students.

Minimum Qualifications:
Masters degree with AMCB certification as a CNM or CM.
At least two to three years of relevant experience
Currently have or eligible for an unrestricted license to practice in the State of Maryland
