Job Summary
Job Title: Social Worker Looked After Children
Location: Luton
Pay Rate: up to 40
Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for Social Workers to join a Looked After Children Team based in Luton.
What will your responsibilities be
- Manage a caseload of children who are in the care of the local authority.
- Develop implement and regularly review care plans tailored to each childs needs.
- Ensure childrens placements (foster care residential care kinship care) are safe stable and supportive.
- Promote the childs health education and emotional wellbeing ensuring access to appropriate services.
- Maintain regular contact with children through statutory visits and direct work.
- Prepare and present reports for Looked After Child Reviews.
- Work closely with birth families carers schools health professionals and other agencies.
- Support children through transitions including reunification with family adoption or leaving care.
- Advocate for the childs voice to be heard in all aspects of planning and decision-making.
Qualifications and Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have;
- Social Work England registration
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Post-qualified experience
- Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
