Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing repairing and maintaining diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role requires strong technical expertise attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities
- Inspect diagnose and repair diesel engines transmissions brakes and other vehicle systems.
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes filter replacements and fluid checks.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs parts used and service reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and service personnel to complete tasks efficiently.
- Stay current with industry trends tools and technologies.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree in diesel technology preferred.
- Valid drivers license; CDL preferred but not required.
- At least one year of experience as a diesel mechanic or in a related field.
- Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and repair tools.
- Strong understanding of diesel engine systems and components.
- Ability to lift heavy parts and work in physically demanding environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- ASE Certification(s)
- Experience with fleet maintenance
- Familiarity with hydraulic and electrical systems
- Welding and fabrication skills

The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 75 lbs. The employee will be required to generate up to 100 lbs of push/pull force when maneuvering various equipment/supplies. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud; vibration levels are moderate.
