Purpose of the role

The Brand Customer & National Account Manager Oncology is part of the Oncology Business Unit Belgium & Luxembourg which consists of several Oncology Franchises. The person in this role will be involved in the GU Mel HN franchise and will report to the Franchise Lead GU Mel HN.

The Brand Customer & National Account Manager is a hybrid field-and-strategy role. You will build trust-based relationships with healthcare professionals and define local marketing and promotional activities to grow a new oncology asset. Manage sales and business across around 10 accounts and engage key customers (medical oncologists neurologists hospital pharmacists nurses). Work crossfunctionally with medical affairs digital & data analytics market access and others to translate national strategy into local execution. As the single point of contact for this asset you will deliver value to HCPs drive sales growth expand market share and build the commercial foundations for this new oncology product.

Primary responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Insights

  • Articulate local market and customer insights into an integrated brand plan aligned with global and regional strategy; adapt the plan brand strategy and messaging as needed based on those insights and translate customer needs into promotional materials and campaigns.

  • Be the brand competitor and market expert for the assigned indications and be accountable for planning and delivering marketing initiatives and materials that drive performance.

  • Drive crossfunctional alignment by leading team discussions with medical affairs market access digital & analytics and sharing best practices across the oncology BU.

  • Maximize the use of commercial channels by leveraging digital while finding the right balance digital/print to ensure optimal customer engagements.

  • Own the brand budget for assigned indications and ensure initiatives deliver performance.

Account Management & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain long-term partnerships with customers and key opinion leaders through tailored visits meetings congresses and educational events.

  • Deliver targeted account management across your territory: map stakeholders understand patient journeys and how each stakeholder influences treatment decisions.

  • Use data and analytics to design tailored customer engagements balancing physical and digital interactions to meet customer preferences.

  • Drive sales performance: monitor business performance vs. objectives.

  • Identify local drivers and barriers generate actionable insights review and improve materials accordingly.

  • Manage allocated sales sponsorship budget work collaboratively with accounts and internal teams to identify regional partnership opportunities while adhering to local law company SOPs and ethical standards.

Your profile

You are passionate about marketing science and people!

  • University degree in Life Sciences or another relevant discipline with healthcare curriculum from an accredited university ;

  • Minimum of 2 years of healthcare industry experience ;

  • Previous oncology experience and/or scientific knowledge in oncology is preferred ;

  • Experience in sales and/or account management is preferred ;

  • Experience in marketing or project management is a plus ;

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment ;

  • Ability to work in a very complex and rapidly evolving setting ;

  • Be able to translate detailed medical and business content into balanced messages ;

  • Strong organizational and time management skills ;

  • Ability to adapt your engagement style to different customer types and to influence without authority ;

  • Open for innovation and experimentation ;

  • Preferably fluent in conversational and written Dutch French and English ;

  • Valid drivers license.
