Job Summary

Job purpose

We are seeking a dependable Part-Time Technician Electrician with at least 2 years experience to join our team. The Part-Time Technician Electrician will be responsible for installing repairing and maintaining electrical systems and equipment in commercial or industrial settings. This role will involve strong technical knowledge attention to detail and strict adherence to safety standards. 8-koi; a diverse Florida based service and consulting company that has been providing outstanding results for our clients for over a decade.

Duties and responsibilities

Install repair and maintain electrical wiring systems fixtures and equipment.
Read and interpret technical diagrams electrical blueprints and schematics.
Inspect electrical system and components to identify hazards defects and necessary repairs to ensure proper operation.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes safety standards and company policies.
Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
Diagnose electrical malfunctions using appropriate testing devices.
Perform testing on circuits connections and components using appropriate tools equipment and regulations (e.g. NEC OSHA)
Collaborate with project managers engineers and other trades to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of repairs inspections and installations.
Train and provide guidance to apprentices or junior electricians as needed.
Respond to emergency electrical calls and perform timely repairs.

Qualifications

Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers voltmeter etc.) and able to follow prints and instructions
Self-motivated and driven to get the job done correctly and quickly utilizing excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
Must have at least 2 years of experience as an Electrician.
Must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
Must have manual dexterity and be able to:
Lift and carry heavy objects
Climb ladders scaffolding and/or stairs and perform work from tall heights
Stand bend and crouch for long periods of time
Fit into and work within tight spaces
Have the ability to distinguish between colors for wiring tasks
Perform electrical work in adverse weather conditions and temperatures
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Working conditions

Working conditions may require overtime weekend or on-call shifts.

Work involves exposure to high voltage moving machinery and construction sites.

Use of PPE (personal protective equipment) is mandatory.
