What you will be doing

There is an exciting opportunity for a secondment into the Rolls-Royce Civil Nuclear team to provide cover for maternity leave. Reporting to the Project Manager the successful candidate will liaise between our customer and supplier and coordinate activities within the Rolls-Royce team. This role is to support one of two contracts we have with Hinkley Point C.

Responsibilities

• The successful delivery to cost specification and time for defined packages of work.

• Support the Project Manager to deliver the project requirements.

• Co-ordinate work across the functional teams.

• Develop plans to meet the overall project objectives.

• Manage both customer and supplier relationships.

• Manage project the projects Key Performance Indicators.

What we offer:

Civil Nuclear is a small team which allows for unique development in all areas of the project including customer and supplier management contract modifications planning and risk management. The role allows for hybrid working (3 days a week in the office) and with the main supplier based in Italy there is regular opportunity for travel.

• Experience of working in a variety of project roles in projects of limited complexity with personal accountability for Quality Time Cost and Performance elements.

• Experience working with suppliers.

• Experience of planning and cost management.

• Experience in multiple stages of a project lifecycle and has been responsible for the delivery of one or more of these stages.

• Proven people and stakeholder skills at all levels of an organisation.

• Exposure to non-core project management roles such as purchasing commercial engineering management etc.

• Degree level qualification preferable or equivalent industry experience ideally from an Engineering background.
