The Department of Rehabilitation Therapies at the University of Iowa Health Care North Liberty Campus is looking for a Senior Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients with complex physical dysfunctions disorders and/or injuries. This position will be assigned to the outpatient orthopedics setting.
- Provide quality patient care evaluation assessment and treatment appropriate for patients needs. Assignment will primarily be to adult inpatient acute care setting
- Evaluate and instruct patients in home treatment programs
- Perform routine and assigned administrative tasks in an efficient manner
- Participate in divisional quality/process improvement activities and recommend opportunities for improvement in service quality
- Attend and participate in educational programs and provide educational experiences as assigned
- Maintain effective working relationships with faculty staff students and the public
- Performs special projects and tasks as assigned
- Positive Impact/Achieving Results: Ability to utilize existing resources and learning to achieve or exceed desired outcomes of current and future organizational goals/needs. Able to demonstrate ethical behavior in a variety of situations while producing results
- Service Excellence/Customer Focus: Ability to meet or exceed customer service needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner. Ability to effectively transmit and interpret information through appropriate communication with internal and external customers

Required Qualifications:
Licenses/Certifications:
- Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy is required
Desirable Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience as a Physical Therapist with advanced understanding and skill in providing occupational therapy primarily to adults in an inpatient acute care setting.
- Reasonable (1-3 years) experience in evaluation and treatment of patients in outpatient orthopedics.
- Demonstrates leadership abilities
- Demonstrates experience as part of a multidisciplinary medical team
- Job related experience with and/or commitment to service excellence
