Role Summary
The Cabinet Order Processor is responsible for accurately entering reviewing and maintaining cabinet orders throughout the production cycle. This role supports the full order management process from initial input to release by collaborating closely with sales design and production teams. Precision and timeliness are critical to ensuring customer satisfaction installation success and reduced rework.
Success in this role is measured by consistent performance in order processing volume accuracy timeliness and the prevention of escaped defects.
Key Responsibilities
Order Processing & Data Entry
Enter cabinet orders into the ERP system with precise specifications SKUs and notes.
Review builder selections floorplans and customer design packets for completeness and accuracy.
Process order changes promptly based on field revisions customer updates or design modifications.
Scheduling & Coordination
Coordinate the release of orders to production according to project timelines.
Communicate order discrepancies or any required actions to Customer Specialists and Designers.
Escalate any issues or missing information that may delay order processing or prevent meeting builder-requested delivery dates.
Ensure all required documentation and approvals are completed before releasing orders.
Accuracy & Performance Monitoring
Identify opportunities to improve order accuracy and efficiency throughout the processing workflow.
Recommend process changes or additional checkpoints to reduce escaped defects and rework.
Collaborate with Customer Operations leadership to enhance documentation validation and handoff procedures.
Support standardization efforts to ensure consistent order entry practices across all projects and team members.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Order Processing Volume Total number of cabinet orders accurately entered and completed within the reporting period.
Order Review Volume Total number of cabinet orders reviewed or checked for accuracy prior to release.
Order Processing First-Pass Yield (FPY) Percentage of orders processed correctly on the first submission without errors or rework.
Escaped Defect Rate Percentage of errors that pass through the order review process and are discovered downstream (e.g. in production or installation).
On-Time Order Processing Percentage of orders processed and released according to the established schedule.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred
2 years of experience in administrative or customer service roles preferably in the cabinet or construction industry
Knowledge of cabinetry materials SKUs and layouts is highly preferred
Proficiency with order entry software ERP systems and Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented and able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting
