Rice Lake West a self-performing general contractor building water and waste water treatment plants seeks to hire a mid-level to advanced-level safety professional to oversee the companys safety program and jobsites located throughout the front range of the Rockies and certain Great Plains states like Montana Nebraska and Wyoming.
Primary Function
Under the direction of the Safety Director the Safety Manager will lead and manage the companys safety initiatives and loss control programs through an overall system designed to comply with all regulatory agencies and construction industry standards ensuring no employee gets hurt. Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Education and Licensing
Bachelors in Occupational Construction Safety or related field preferred OSHA and/or First Aid Teaching Credentials Recognized BCS (Board of Certified Safety Professional) Credentials SCP CHST. Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record.
Practical Knowledge Requirement
Occupational Health and Safety Standards Construction Trades Leadership Safety Topic Training Audit and Inspection Protocol Root Cause Investigations and Corrective Action Plans First Aid/CPR Silica Dust Exposure Fall Protection Excavation & Trenching Confined Space and Crane Operations Fluent in Spanish.
Work Experience
Minimum of 2 years site specific construction safety experience plus a minimum of 5 years organizing and managing OHS initiatives and leading training programs in a construction or general contractor setting.
Software and Applications Applied
Microsoft Office Products like Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint as well as Cloud Based Applications like SiteDocs.
Necessary Character Traits
Approachable passionate personable analytical thinker with common sense and the ability to organize and teach using strong written and verbal communication skills emotional intelligence and regulatory knowledge combined with the ability to build relationships within the organization from top to bottom to create a team environment.

Frequent day trips and occasional overnight travel
