Your Role

With the continued growth and expansion of the College an exciting new opportunity exists to join the team at Catherine McAuley College Mackay in the newly established position of Media Officer. This is a term-time continuing role for 22.5 hours per week to commence from January 2026. Hours and days of work to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Based on the requirements of the role the successful applicant will need to be able to work on Fridays.

Typical duties include:-

  • Coordinate and produce school communications and publications including newsletters brochures handbooks and promotional materials
  • Support media and publicity aspects of key school events such as open days graduations and sports carnivals.
  • Maintain and update social media and website content in line with brand guidelines.
  • Ensure consistent application of the Colleges brand across all communication channels.
  • Capture and promote significant school events through photography and video respecting media consent protocols.
  • Liaise with local media outlets to promote the College and student achievements.
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives and provide branding and communications advice to staff and students.

  • Tertiary qualifications at Certificate level or equivalent knowledge qualifications and experience relevant to this rolewould be highly regarded

Mandatory Requirements
