Compensation: $200000$275000 base performance incentives (total potential comp: $235000$335000)
Work Arrangement: In-office or hybrid depending on location
A growing national law firm is looking to add an experienced trusts and estates attorney to its tax practice. This role is suited for someone who enjoys working closely with high-net-worth individuals and families to develop tailored estate plans and tax strategies. Youll be part of a collaborative team that values mentorship and encourages long-term growth within the firm.
This position offers direct access to clients a wide variety of planning work and the chance to grow your own book of business in a well-supported environment.
What Youll Do:
- Develop and implement comprehensive estate plans
- Draft and review estate planning documents including wills trusts (revocable and irrevocable) deeds and powers of attorney
- Advise on gift estate and generation-skipping transfer tax planning
- Assist in trust administration probate proceedings and post-death matters
- Prepare and review Form 706 estate tax returns
- Engage regularly with clients and help guide them through complex planning decisions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of estate planning experience at a law firm
- Background working with high-net-worth clients on complex planning needs
- California or Arizona Bar admission (based on office location)
- Tax LL.M. CPA or strong tax foundation preferred
- International estate planning experience is a plus
- Bilingual in Spanish Vietnamese or another language is highly valued
- Strong academic credentials
