As the Front Desk Receptionist you will be the first point of contact for many of our clients providers and community partners. We are looking for someone who is great with people understands the complexities of mental health and is a team player for a team of passionate mental health clinicians. You will understand the need to be patient and courteous and deliver superior customer service to each new caller and client who walks into our office.
- Greet clients that come into the practice warmly and respond to any concerns or requests.
- Assist clients through received calls and in person requests
- Updating demographic information at point of contact with clients.
- Ensure appropriate documentation is on file for clients at point of contact (ex: consent for treatment is current)
- Answering incoming calls to the company and routing as appropriate
- Assisting with the scheduling of new client appointments
- Track external referrals and communicate with internal team members to distribute and assign clients appropriately
- Assist with outstanding collections when needed
- Complete insurance verifications for Husky/Medicaid clients when needed
- Assist with keeping waiting room tidy and ensuring our space is welcoming
- Filing faxing copying etc.
- Participate in rotation of office tasks such as monitoring company emails faxes voicemails and text messages and distributing requests to appropriate team members.
- Inform Practice Manager of any issues involving furniture equipment technology
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be efficient with strong skills in organization good problem solving and attention to detail
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in customer service within behavioral health services preferred
- A love for working with people!
- Strong computer skills including navigating emails spreadsheets and documents. Experience with Google Workspace preferred
- Understanding HIPAA regulations and ability to uphold the highest standards
- Ability to prioritize tasks exercise sound judgment when needed
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize tasks accordingly
- All other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Monday to Thursday - 11:00 am - 7:00 pm & Friday - 8:30 am - 5:00 pm or Monday through Friday 8:30am 5:00 pm
Education:- High school or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelors preferred.
