Job Summary

Who We Are Looking For:

Are you the Relief/Per Diem Occupational Therapist (Contract)we have been looking for In this position you will be able to convey your passion for helping others by bringing an energetic and positive approach while working with our clients!

Anchor Academy - Berkley Campus is a special education therapeutic day school that specializes in trauma-informed services for students ages 10-22 with complex trauma histories mental health issues educational challenges and/or behavioral difficulties. Anchor Academy offers students a supportive environment that addresses their education clinical pre-vocational recreational and behavioral needs. Individual group nursing and milieu counseling are provided.

Anchor Academy - Berkley Campusutilizes unique ARC (Attachment Self-Regulation and Competency) and BCC (Building Communities of Care) treatment frameworks that focus on building individual capacities for emotion regulation personal strengths and healthy relationships. Certified special education teachers provide students with curriculum that is aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Framework.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $35.00 to $45.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience education licensure certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.

This position involves1 hour of direct service per week2 hours of consult per month 1 hour of progress notes. This is subject to change given the amount of students who require services.

JRI Provides The Training So That:

  • YOU will be able to provide OT services while developing and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with clinicians by selecting therapeutic activities designed to achieve therapeutic goals for our students such as; self-care and wellness independent life skills and sensory modulation etc. as well as activities of daily living
  • YOU will be able to provide documentation on service recipients treatment plans progress and evaluation results per OT policy to provide information concerning content and effectiveness of Occupational Therapy treatment recommend additional interventions as indicated.
  • YOU will be able to create a safe and therapeutic community by supporting students in developing and by role modeling effective strategies.

Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Masters Degree and licensure in Occupational Therapy required.
  • Experience working with families children and adolescents preferred.
  • Maintains valid drivers license as transporting clients is required.
  • Available to work evenings holidays weekend shifts as required.

  • Background and driving record checks will be performed.
