Forklift Operator - LTO
Kendallville Plant
Are you ready to join a world-class team that produces exceptional quality products Kraft Heinz Foods Company located in Kendallville IN is seeking a highly motivated Forklift Operator to join our manufacturing plant. As the sole producer of all our product lines Kraft Heinz Kendallville offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our ambitious goals.
Plant Overview:
- Non-union plant employing 280 employees across 3 shifts.
- Purchased in 1934 from Breyers Ice Cream and began producing caramel in 1935.
- Began producing Marshmallows and Marshmallow Crème in 1961 and Marbits (think dehydrated marshmallows found in cereal) in 1979.
- Kendallville is the sole producer of all our products.
Community Overview:
- Kendallville is located about 30 minutes north of Fort Wayne and offers a small-town community.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Scan finished products from production lines and load them onto trailers.
- Troubleshoot equipment operation issues related to line performance.
- Scan labels verify correctness of PRN and enter pallet count accurately.
- Set up and operate palletizers.
- Provide cross functional training of raw and pack supply and receiving duties.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Monitor and communicate any process or product abnormalities to supervisors or team leaders.
- Collaborate with previous and next shift regarding any concerns or watch outs.
- Perform all other assigned duties.
Qualifications:
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve excellent results.
- Proficient in simple mathematics.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in areas with dust and starch particles.
- Willingness to work in hot and humid conditions.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing and/or food processing preferred.
