As a member of the Data Office team the Senior Data Quality Engineer plays a key role in maximizing the potential of data for Coface and its customers. Reporting to the Head of Data Quality Management the Data Quality Engineer ensures that data is accurate consistent and reliable across the organization. The role involves hands-on analysis of data quality issues some abilities to lead transversally in engaging with business and technical stakeholders and proactive contributions to improving data quality processes documentation and tools.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and identify data quality issues across various domains and contribute to their resolution in collaboration with business and IT teams.
- Define and apply data quality rules monitor KPIs and document controls to ensure continuous improvement.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of the data quality framework and related tools (such as Collibra DUCO and SAS Guide).
- Participate in data cleaning and enrichment initiatives to enhance the value and usability of company data.
- Contribute to the data documentation effort (metadata definitions quality indicators) in the Data Directory and ensure its availability to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and regional data correspondents to raise awareness and foster a data quality culture.
- Support the animation of the data community through participation in meetings workshops and data governance forums.
- Support internal and external audits related to data quality.
- Contribute to the expansion of data quality coverage to additional domains if needed by implementing governance documentation and indicators.
Qualifications :
Profile required
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- 5 years of experience in Data Quality or Data Management.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail rigor and problem-solving.
- Familiarity with SAS (Base Guide) Power BI Collibra and DUCO tools is a plus.
- Good knowledge of data governance data dictionaries and data control frameworks.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of insurance and Solvency II is appreciated.
- Strong writing skills and interpersonal qualities to work collaboratively with international teams.
- Experience in project management or coordination of cross functional initiatives is a plus.
- Fluency in English is essential.
