About the Role

We are on the hunt for a highly capable and motivated Cloud Engineer Azure to lead the management and optimisation of our cloud infrastructure. This role is responsible for the administration of Azure services Entra ID Microsoft 365 and Defender platforms with a strong focus on platform consolidation security and operational excellence. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and our Managed Service Provider to ensure scalable secure and cost-effective cloud solutions.

What You Will Do

• Administer and manage Azure platform services including IaaS and PaaS workloads virtual networks firewalls storage and compute resources.
• Manage and maintain Entra ID (Azure AD) including identity governance conditional access and role-based access control.
• Oversee and optimise Azure Site Recovery (ASR) and backup services to ensure business continuity and disaster recovery readiness.
• Lead efforts to consolidate Azure subscriptions and tenants improving manageability security and cost efficiency.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online Teams SharePoint Intune and Defender for Endpoint Identity and Office 365.
• Monitor and manage Microsoft Defender security solutions across cloud and endpoint environments.
• Collaborate with the Managed Service Provider through regular meetings to review incidents performance and service improvements.
• Implement and maintain cloud governance policies tagging standards and cost management practices.
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams on cloud-related projects and initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation including architecture diagrams runbooks and operational procedures.

What You Will Need

• 3 years of experience in cloud engineering or systems administration with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure services including virtual machines networking firewalls storage and PaaS offerings.
• Proven experience managing Entra ID / Azure AD including identity and access management.
• Solid understanding of Azure Site Recovery backup strategies and disaster recovery planning.
• Experience consolidating and managing multiple Azure subscriptions and tenants.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration including Intune and Defender.
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in cloud and hybrid environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
