Who You Are:
The Associate General Counsel Director - Development is a member of the legal department who is a critical thinker who provides legal counsel to support the companys customer contract negotiations vendor contract negotiations and other construction-related maintain compliance with all internal contract policies and procedures and provides support to the Companys business units.
What You Will Do:
- Responsibility for broad range of legal matters and general business matters based on the needs of the company
- Negotiate and draft customer and vendor contracts
- Negotiate and draft various business-related documents and agreements
- Assist with a variety of business-related functions including loans equity raises acquisitions construction real estate reporting and compliance litigation etc.
- Assist with information technology-related matters
- Assist with compliance with various domestic and international privacy laws
- Assist with the companys data security program
- Manage collections on customer accounts
- Manage customer bankruptcy filings
What You Will Need to be Successful:
- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials.
- Six or more years of experience as a lawyer working in the areas of contract negotiation real estate lease negotiation and/or corporate law
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Hands-on self-starter who is disciplined and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently as well as in a team setting that requires a highly accurate and timely work product
- Excellent listening written verbal organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn ERP systems
- Excels in a team-oriented work environment
- Strong work ethic and accountability to deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving business environment
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word PowerPoint Outlook and Excel) Box and DocuSign
- Excellent analytical time-management judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to multitask prioritize and manage time efficiently
- Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Possess ambition and an optimistic attitude
- Ability to manage competing priorities and demands on time
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Able to take initiative with little direction
