Job Summary
- Support the Chief Engineer in overseeing daily operations ensuring effective maintenance and repair of all hotel assets.
- Manage the Engineering & Maintenance team to uphold safety functionality and guest satisfaction across the property.
- Lead preventive and corrective maintenance activities for guest rooms public areas and back-of-house facilities.
- Drive performance and efficiency within the Engineering team through coaching and motivation.
- Champion the hotels fire safety program ensuring readiness of all safety equipment and compliance with local regulations.
- Act as the departments Training Champion coordinating regular technical and safety training sessions.
- Enforce strict adherence to safe work practices and BizSAFE Level 3 standards for staff and external contractors.
- Propose and implement energy and resource conservation initiatives to support the hotels sustainability goals.
- Oversee troubleshooting and maintenance for mechanical electrical and building systems.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant fire safety building and environmental codes.
- Liaise with external vendors service providers consultants architects and regulatory bodies as needed.
Qualifications :
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar capacity preferably within hotels building facilities or construction maintenance.
- Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Engineering or related discipline.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proven leadership problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Collaborative team player with a hands-on proactive approach to operations.
