Job Summary
As a Senior Revenue Accountant your role will be a combination of calculating third party reseller partner commissions supporting internal stakeholders with commission queries driving process improvements and preparing analytical insights into partner commissions for the management.
Responsibilities
- Prepare reports for partner commissions related to the payout month-end closing and reporting activities.
- Collaborate with the Channel Sales org on various initiatives and process changes.
- Partner with multiple stakeholders to identify and drive process improvements.
- Support overall business unit reporting requirements.
- Develop knowledge and understanding of the systems that are critical to the partner commissions process.
- Prepare analysis for ad hoc requests.
- Ability to support external audit related queries.
- Collaborate with the Internal Audit team to establish and ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
- Collaborate with various teams across the company to resolve issues.
Qualifications :
- CA preferred
- Work experience of 2 years; preferably with a background in SOX/ICFR control frameworks.
- Understanding of revenue recognition principles related accounting standards (e.g. ASC 606) and non GAAP financial metrics particularly in the software and SaaS industry
- Experience in financial operations audit and accounting are a bonus.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify risks analyze complex data and provide practical recommendations.
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office products with the ability to manage and analyze large amounts of data.
- Strong communication skills required both written and verbal.
- Excellent organization skills and ability to manage multiple changing priorities along with day-to-day responsibilities.
- Ability to commute to the Bangalore office three times a week.
- Must be able to join within 30 days of offer acceptance.
