Job Description
The International community of the TU/e is growing via the number of incoming students that apply to our university and we are therefore looking for a colleague to expand our team. As an Admissions Officer you are responsible for the screening of the applications of the international students either at a bachelors or at a masters level.
You are going to be the connecting part between the first check of the application of a student and the admission decision of a student (at a bachelors level) or the admissions committee of the relative department (at a masters level).
Besides the application process you are going to be performing other tasks related to international students such as helping our housing officer with their responsibilities as well as processing the payments and/or repayments of the international students during the admissions period.
Key responsibillities:
Admissions
- Process and review the second phase of the application of an international student at a bachelors or masters level.
- Support colleagues involved in the initial stage of the admissions process by providing guidance sharing knowledge and managing complex inquiries from applicants.
- Administer and monitor tuition fee payments and refunds ensuring transactions are processed on time and communicated clearly to applicants and relevant departments.
Housing
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the Housing Officer during the housing allocation and lottery periods ensuring smooth coordination and accurate record-keeping.
- Participate in university events such as Bachelors and Masters Open Days to inform and guide prospective international students about housing options and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal colleagues and external housing partners to ensure efficient communication and accurate handling of student housing matters.
Job Requirements
We are looking for a colleague who:
- has a proven intellectual and professional ability at higher professional education level (HBO);
- has proven experience in the field of Internationalization in higher education or business setting;
- has proven knowledge and experience of automated administrative processes. Experience with OSIRIS is an advantage.
- has excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English (minimum B2 level willingness to grow to C1);
- can work independently and as part of a team in an international setting;
- can handle peak periods and tight deadlines effectively.

- A monthly salary of minimum 3057 to maximum 3985 for full-time employment depending on your knowledge and experience (scale 7 collective labour agreement for Dutch Universities). An initial one-year contract with the intention of extension or permanent appointment based on performance and organizational developments/ Appointment via EUFLEX (TU/e secondment agency may be considered depending on your background.

The Admissions Officer will be part of the Admissions Team within the International Office which is part of the Center for Student Administration (CSA) at the TU/e. CSA is responsible for all administrative processes related to education. The International Office supports both International Experience and Admissions processes and plays a key role in the universitys internationalization strategy.
The Education and Student Affairs (ESA) service is the central service point for students and teaching staff at TU/e. ESA provides a wide range of services including educational logistics policy quality assurance and student support.
