Summary of Duties
The Superintendent directs the activities of workers involved in the construction of buildings and other commercial projects. Address delays weather impacts and site emergencies effectively.
Communicate with management owners subcontractors and design teams to resolve issues.
Direct and supervise field crews and subcontractors.
Interpret plans and specifications for workers and partners.
Plan organize and direct construction and maintenance activities.
Coordinate and schedule subcontractors and crews to maintain project timelines.
Inspect self-performed and subcontractor work for quality and compliance.
Perform site layout using layout instruments.
Safely operate tools and light equipment (e.g. forklifts skid steers lifts etc.).
Exhibit finish carpentry framing and form-building skills.
Enforce proper safety protocols and report incidents promptly.
Perform additional tasks as required or assigned.
Qualifications
Skills & Abilities
Strong knowledge of equipment materials and supplies used in commercial construction.
Familiarity with first aid procedures and applicable safety precautions.
Ability to work independently and manage daily responsibilities.
Physically capable of lifting standing and performing labor-intensive tasks in field conditions.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in safe tool and equipment operation.
Reliable attendance and consistent performance.
Education & Experience
