How youll contribute
The Environmental Services Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean sanitary and safe environment throughout the hospital. They ensure all assigned areas are cleaned and disinfected according to established procedures and schedules.
Additional responsibilities include:
Perform routine cleaning of patient rooms nursing units offices clinical areas waiting areas lobbies lounges restrooms and corridors
Empty trash containers and dispose of waste in a safe and sanitary manner
Dust and damp mop floors clean windows and vacuum carpets as needed
Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning supplies and equipment
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor
Follow infection control and safety procedures
Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should possess:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
