About the Role:

Step into the role ofAssistant Fabric Technologist (12 Month Fixed Term Contract) here at Joules Head Office!

What to expect on a day to day basis:

  • To work with and support the Kidswear and Special Purchase Team with their day to day duties.
  • Understand the Joules quality standards processes and procedures and
    the part they play in driving customer satisfaction.
  • Support the Commercial teams to ensure our products meet the Joules
    quality standard from design through to production.
  • Constantly drive improvement and innovation with regards to product
    quality and fabric performance in order to reduce customer returns thus
    drive revenue.
  • Support the Fabric team with roll-ups business level reviews and strategic
    seasonal cross costing projects.
  • Complete risk assessments for all new fabrics and mills/routes.
  • Support with colour and fabric development process from design through
    to supply chain.
  • Work collaboratively to identify key fabric trends for the upcoming season
    and present findings to the Buying and Design teams.
  • Ensure minimum parameters are set and monitored with regards to
    margin improvement and fabric consolidation.
  • Collate information ahead of weekly CP meetings and highlight any risk
    recommend solutions and support the Senior teams with issues that arise.

About You:

From a technical and operational perspective it would also be advantageous if you have:

  • A relevant qualification or relevant experience.
  • A well rounded knowledge of raw materials fibres yarns and fabrics would be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • To be able to communicate with overseas suppliers.
  • High level of awareness and sense of urgency.

Where will you be working

This is a full time role based at The Barn - Joules purpose built Head Office in Market Harborough Leicestershire. This role is office based working onsite as we believe this is where we make the best decisions together.
