Family Partner - Intensive Family Services
We have an exciting opportunity to join Riverside Community Care as a Family Partner!
In this vital role the Family Partner works in partnership with the Program Director Community Based Clinician Family Support Worker Young Adult Peer Mentor and Occupational Therapist to provide education coaching/training and support to parents/caregivers of a youth participating in the Intensive Family Services Program.
The Family Partner educates parents/caregivers about how to effectively navigate the child-serving systems for themselves and about the existence of informal/community resources available to them and facilitates the parents/caregivers access to these resources.
Schedule: Part Time 20 hours
Pay Rate: $22.28/hourly
- increase to $23.28 upon completion of CHW certification
- additional $0.96 language differential available too!

Required Skills
- Must be able to establish a rapport and work effectively with a diverse multi-cultural group of parents children family members and other program staff members
- Understanding of child development and family issues that impact upon child/parent relationships
- Fluency in Spanish and English preferred
- Good verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English preferred
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
- Valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle
Required Experience
- Bachelors degree in human services field and one year of experience working with the target population preferred
- Associates degree in human service field and one year experience working with children/adolescents/transition age youth
- OE High School diploma/GED and a minimum of two years experience working with children/adolescents/transition age youth
- Experience as a caregiver of a youth with special needs; experience as a caregiver of a youth with mental health needs preferred
- Experience in navigating any of the child and family-serving systems and teaching family members who are involved with the child and family-serving systems
