Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) at Iowa State University is seeking a temporary program specialist to provide undergraduate student program support. This position will be part-time (20-30 hours/week) from January 5 2026 through May 2026 with the potential of an extension to June 30 2026. The person in this role would:
Ensure WiSE residential learning community and community group programming is high quality and implemented on a regular consistent schedule.
Supervise student leaders who are responsible for developing and implementing residential and community group programming and WiSE front office workers.
Collaboratively design and implement various WiSE events.
Represent WiSE to students as well as internal and external partners.
Work Schedule:
3-5 days/week Monday-Friday with potentially an occasional weekend event.
20-30 hours/week will be collaboratively determined upon an offer.
Work hours will typically be between noon and 6 PM but will be collaboratively determined upon an offer. Work hours may vary slightly from week to week but may not exceed 40 hours in one week.
Fully in person.
