Onsite Technician, Inventory Services

The Opportunity:

In this role you will report to the Area Operations Manager and will work closely with the Avantors Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Hourly Rate: $27 - $30

Shift: Monday - Friday 7 am - 3:30 pm holidays that occur during the scheduled shift

Location: Vacaville CA

What were looking for

• Education: High school Diploma or GED required
• Experience: 2 years of material handling/inventory replenishment or customer service experience is required
• Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience
• Digital literacy including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel
• Solid understanding and experience in either shipping inventory or purchasing
• Excellent Customer Service Skills: displays a professional can-do attitude
• Must be able to lift 50Lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work independently or as part of a team

Avantors Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma pharmaceutical educational industrial and high-tech industries with customizable flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

In this role you will:

• Facilitate orders for consumable lab inventory replenishment and enter orders into computer systems Web etc.
• Receive inbound shipments from UPS FedEx and other common carriers.
• Resolve all shipping errors.
• Manage customers inventory including delivery product replenishment.
• Perform additional inventory management-related functions such as monitoring slow-moving and dead stock conducting cycle counting and yearly inventories and reporting etc.
• Perform shipping coordination activities such as answering customer calls and handling routine issues.
• Utilize Avantor and customer computer systems in fulfillment of job duties
• Meet goals and objectives: safety performance and quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
