About this Role
MalaceHR is seeking a skilled Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician to maintain diagnose and repair refrigeration heating and air-conditioning systems commonly installed in supermarkets convenience stores and cold storage facilities. The ideal candidate will work independently provide exceptional customer service and identify potential sales opportunities while ensuring system performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
Perform prescribed routine maintenance procedures on supermarket refrigeration systems and temperature-controlled merchandisers.
Operate service and maintain self-contained refrigeration heating and air conditioning units with minimal direction.
Conduct preventative maintenance assist with compressor replacements perform leak detection and clean coils.
Diagnose refrigeration systems and perform necessary repairs to ensure customer satisfaction.
Repair leaks solder copper-to-brass and copper-to-steel connections diagnose airflow issues install PVC drain pipes and use temperature meters and sensors.
Receive uncrate and install blower coils locate and repair leaks fabricate hangers and supports clean condensing units and install walk-in cases.
Complete all work orders timesheets and electronic documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Utilize a handheld device or tablet to complete customer paperwork and invoicing.
Maintain truck inventory in an organized and accurate manner; follow company vehicle maintenance policies.
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Note: Equipment specialty may vary by branch.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED required.
Technical Certification from a recognized trade school and at least 2years of related experience or
High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 2years of field experience.
Qualifications
Valid Drivers License with a safe driving record in accordance with company policy.
Physically able to walk bend crouch climb ladders work at high elevations and lift up to 50 lbs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; detail-oriented and self-motivated.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
Availability to work nights weekends and overtime as required.
Working knowledge of commercial refrigeration; supermarket experience preferred.
Strong leadership skills and business acumen.
Superior decision-making ability and organizational skills.
