Job Summary
Hire Resolves Client is currently looking for an experienced Cost Accountant to join their mining company based in Gauteng. You will be responsible for performing accounting and cost control functions including cost analysis budget tracking and variance reporting to ensure accurate financial management and identify opportunities to reduce inefficiencies.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support safety health environmental and risk initiatives within operations.
- Supervise team performance ensuring effective task execution and compliance with regulations.
- Manage cost control processes including variance analysis reconciliations and journal processing.
- Prepare financial and operational reports to support budgeting and decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to statutory audit and compliance requirements including SOX standards.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Costing Financial Management or Management Accounting
- 3 years experience as a Cost Accountant within the mining/manufacturing industry
- Have experience in SAP CO and PS
- Valid Drivers License
