PM Schedule:

4p - 4a: C Shift: S-T/Wed; D Shift: W/Th- Sat.

Training -First 60-90 Days- Mon.-Thurs. ; 6a-6p

Job Summary:

Operate the furnace/oven equipment. Handle the loading and unloading of furnaces/ovens and equipment operation. Cross train in other production areas based on business demand.


Required:

US Citizenship.

Submission to lifetime background and SF-86 Secret Clearance process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read interpret and work to written instructions such as standard task procedures work orders work order instructions supplementary instructions manufacturers and customers specifications Safety Data Sheets (SDS) safety rules. Must be able to understand and follow verbal instructions.
  • Perform loading and unloading operations of furnaces/ovens and equipment including carbon black insulation repacking closing furnaces/ovens cleaning susceptor removal and reinstallation.
  • Assemble furnace hardware including the handling of crane operation.
  • Conduct MRP transactions furnace/oven computer log entries.
  • Conduct operator maintenance tasks for all furnace/oven equipment in the area. Handles furnace/oven emergency procedures.
  • Oversee and handle cooling tower operation and emergency water procedures.
  • Start-up and close-down all furnace/oven equipment.
  • Move material between operations as required. Uses the appropriate and certifiable equipment for movement of materials.
  • Prepare various production inspection and quality reports and maintains logs. Knows how to conduct measurement of density and thickness by using computer software.
  • Prepare samples for quality and performs other quality inspections such as measuring for thickness length and weight. Visually inspects material for defects and non-conformities.
  • Perform minor maintenance and reports malfunctioning of equipment.

Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret written documents such as standard task procedures work orders workorderinstructionssupplementaryinstructionsmanufacturersandcustomersspecifications Material Safety Data Sheets safety rulesoperating and maintenance instructionsand procedure able to understand and follow to write routine reports and to speak effectively before groups of customers vendors and/ or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages proportions area circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations in written oral diagram or schedule form.
  • Understandinganduseofgroupdecision-makingtechniquesandproblem-solvingmeeting to function in a team environment.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Three to Five years of detail - oriented manufacturing experience.

  • Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision color vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to wear a PAPR or respirator is required when exposure to fumes or particles is possible

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are encountered while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
  • Occasional exposure to high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  • Use of Protective Equipment provided.
