Program Student Advisor for Graduate and International Admissions (CS26-130)

What You Will Do
Serve on a team to develop and implement graduate and international recruitment and admission strategies.
Develop long-term market cultivation strategies recruitment relationships and day-to-day direct recruitment yield and integrated marketing efforts.
Support the Graduate School and graduate academic departments in creating and implementing customized recruitment programs including initiatives for diverse student populations.
Develop relationships with domestic feeder institutions including HBCUs and MSIs through campus visits education fairs and recruitment events.
Establish partnerships that create pathways for students from feeder institutions to SIUE graduate programs.
Collaborate with International Student Services and the Director of Graduate and International Recruitment on international recruitment and support activities.
Travel in support of the graduate and international recruitment plan.
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
Bachelors degree.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in higher education recruitment or student services
Experience with student information systems and CRMs
Ability to obtain a valid passport required.
Preferred QualificationsMasters degree in a related field preferred along with demonstrated success in recruiting international or graduate students.
Knowledge of SCT Banner and/or Slate preferred.
Experience working with diverse student populations and/or diversity initiatives preferred.
FI and JI visa training or experience preferred along with familiarity with the SEVIS system.
Fluency in more than one language a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required along with the ability to travel domestically and internationally make independent judgments under pressure demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail work irregular hours and collaborate effectively with individuals from a variety of cultures.

Illinois Residency Requirement:Pursuant to the State Universities Civil Service System out-of-state candidates must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of the start date for this position.
