Duration: 13-Week Assignment
Hourly Pay: $53 to $57/hr
Weekly Pay: $1908 to $2052/week
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seekingCritical Care Float Nurse (Travel)for an exciting Travel or Local job in Utica NY.
Responsibilities:
Provide safe compassionate and effective nursing care to critically ill patients in multiple hospital units.
Float to various units as assigned excluding Psychiatric and Emergency Departments unless required to manage patient holds.
Care for diverse patient populations including post-operative patients patients with strokes sepsis respiratory failure cardiogenic shock CHF and neurological interventions such as TCAR.
Manage patient loads of 67 patients per shift in Medical-Surgical or other critical care units.
Operate and monitor specialized critical care equipment including IABP CRRT ventriculostomy ICP monitoring devices and TTM.
Utilize Epic EMR for accurate patient documentation and communication with the healthcare team.
Adhere to all hospital policies procedures and safety protocols while delivering patient care.
Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
Active New York RN license at the time of submission.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in ICU or critical care settings.
Current BLS and ACLS certification; NIH Stroke certification required.
Proven ability to handle high-acuity patients and complex medical equipment.
Strong clinical judgment communication and critical thinking skills.
Flexibility to float to multiple units with varying patient populations.
Experience with Epic EMR preferred.
