A prominent provider of high-quality construction materials in the United States is currently seeking a Haul Truck Driver to join its team at the Quarry in Manquin Virginia. This role involves the safe operation of heavy-duty trucks to transport raw materials including rock gravel and other aggregates within the quarry.
Key responsibilities include conducting daily inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety adhering to all site regulations and collaborating with equipment operators and supervisors to facilitate efficient loading and unloading processes. The driver will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the truck monitoring operational gauges and reporting any mechanical or safety issues.
Additionally the position requires a commitment to upholding health safety and environmental standards while promoting a culture of safety on-site. Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent with a preference for those who have at least six months of relevant experience although a commercial drivers license is not mandatory. The ideal applicant will demonstrate a strong work ethic effective communication skills and the physical capability to perform general labor tasks as needed.

- Ability to operate haul trucks safely and efficiently within the quarry plant or lumber yard environment.
- Willingness to learn and follow all safety protocols and company policies related to haul truck operation.
- Ability to perform daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and take direction.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with supervisors equipment operators and team members.
- Physical ability to climb in and out of trucks and handle general labor tasks as needed.
- Preferred: Previous experience or background working in the lumber industry is a plus but not required. Willingness to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong commitment to safety and learning
