Maintenance Technician Nights

Pay: $31.51/hr with contractual increases every 6 months for the first 2 years
Shift: Nights 6:30pm7am (Must train during day hours of 630am - 7pm for about 4 to 6 weeks)

Job Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot repair and maintain production and plant utility equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to ensure reliable operations
• Install relocate and modify equipment including electrical gas water and air hookups
• Read and interpret technical drawings schematics and manuals
• Fabricate and repair tools fixtures and guards as needed using shop equipment (lathe mill welder grinder etc.)
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities parts and work orders
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards including LOTO and PPE use

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing or distribution preferred
• Knowledge of PLCs VFDs motor controls and electrical circuits (120V480V)
• Strong mechanical skills including hydraulics pneumatics and fabrication
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
• Must provide own hand tools appropriate for the role
• Ability to work overtime as required
• Must be able to wear required PPE

About the Plant

Our San Antonio Texas Distribution Center opened in 1995 and now employs more than 265 people. The site charges packages and ships batteries used in cars boats motorcycles and heavy-duty trucks. We are proud of our community involvement supporting local organizations such as Toys for Tots The Strong Foundation and Soldiers Angels.
