Job Summary

Work Schedule: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM AEDT Sydney 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM Manila

We are looking for a Security Engineer to strengthen our clients security posture and protect our SaaS platform customer data and internal this role you will help design implement and maintain security controls. You will play a key role in ensuring our platform is secure resilient and compliant with industry and regulatory standards such as APRA CPS 230/234.
What Youll Do
Youll be the kind of person who:
Security Operations & Incident Response
- Monitor cloud and application security alerts using SIEM and logging tools.
- Investigate contain and resolve security issues escalating as necessary.
- Perform root-cause analysis and recommend improvements to prevent recurrence.
Cloud & Internal System Security
- Secure and monitor employee endpoints (laptops mobile devices) and corporate networks.
- Manage identity and access controls across SaaS tools and internal systems (SSO MFA RBAC Just-in-Time access).
- Support secure configuration and monitoring of AWS environments.
- Partner with IT to harden collaboration and productivity platforms (e.g. Microsoft 365 Slack).
Vulnerability & Threat Management
- Run regular vulnerability scans for cloud workloads internal systems and endpoints.
- Track prioritise and coordinate remediation of findings with engineering teams.
- Research SaaS-specific and internal IT security threats and recommend mitigations.
- Perform regular health checks and associated reporting
Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC)
- Contribute to compliance programs such as SOC 2 ISO 27001 and PCI.
- Maintain and improve security policies standards and runbooks.
- Support customer security questionnaires and audits.
- Perform risk assessments of third parties
Awareness
- Perform regular internal security training and develop training for new areas.
- Perform information and user access reviews
- Develop documentation for security and general staff
Stakeholder management
- Translate security risks and requirements into clear business impacts for non- technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to monthly stakeholder reports
- Collaborate with external stakeholders (e.g. auditors vendors customers) to address security concerns.
Requirements
What You Bring
Were looking for someone who:
Education/Experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Cybersecurity or equivalent experience.
- 35 years in security engineering preferably in a SaaS or cloud-first environment.
Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with cloud security in AWS.
- Familiarity with container and orchestration security (Docker Kubernetes EKS).
- Understanding of web application security (OWASP Top 10 API security).
- Experience with SIEM IDS/IPS and endpoint detection tools.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and integrating security scans into pipelines.
- Familiarity with identity providers (Okta EntraID Auth0) and SAML/OIDC.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering and DevOps.
- Proactive and adaptable in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
Certifications (Preferred not required)
- Security or equivalent foundational certification.
- Cloud-focused certifications (AWS Security Specialty).
- Progress toward CISSP CCSP or CISM is a plus.
