This is a remote position.
We are seeking a skilled Ad Specialist to manage and optimize paid media campaigns across multiple platforms including Facebook Instagram Google LinkedIn and more to drive awareness and sales for clients books audiobooks websites and lead magnets.
This role combines analytical expertise with creative strategy requiring a data-driven marketer who can scale ad performance optimize ROI and collaborate with the creative team to produce effective on-brand ad campaigns.
Set up monitor and optimize ad campaigns (budgeting targeting creative testing)
Track and report on key performance metrics (CPC CPA ROAS conversions)
Conduct A/B testing and implement creative refreshes based on performance data
Collaborate with the Creative VA to ensure all ad visuals and copy align with brand standards
Pitch and coordinate with influencers
Create and manage a Facebook Page linked to the authors ecosystem (website email list and sales platforms)
Support multi-phase book ad campaigns:
Lead Magnet: Free chapter 7-day journaling challenge or mindset PDF
Nurture: Email storytelling and audience engagement
Sales: Drive conversions for books bundles journals and future courses
CPA within target range (to be defined per funnel)
Weekly optimization reports submitted on time
ROAS and engagement growth month-over-month
Collaboration consistency with Creative VA and team
Proven experience managing paid media campaigns for authors coaches or digital products
Proficiency in Meta Ads Manager Google Ads LinkedIn Ads TikTok (BookTok) Amazon Ads and YouTube Ads
Strong analytical mindset with experience using reporting dashboards and tracking tools
Ability to optimize ad performance and scale budgets effectively while maintaining target CPA
Knowledge of audience segmentation funnel optimization and retargeting strategies
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Detail-oriented with a consistent testing and improvement approach
Experience in book marketing publishing or author brand campaigns
Familiarity with email funnels lead magnets and conversion tracking tools (e.g. Zapier HubSpot ConvertKit)
Understanding of influencer marketing and affiliate collaborations
Knowledge of creative strategy and ad copy best practices
Ability to analyze and present campaign performance insights clearly
Experience using Asana Trello or Notion for campaign tracking and coordination
Bachelors degree in Marketing Advertising Communications or a related field preferred
Equivalent work experience accepted in lieu of a degree
Minimum 4 years of experience managing paid media campaigns
Demonstrated success achieving measurable results in performance marketing

Creative Assets
Ad Campaigns
Weekly 30-minute team meetings with the author and VAs to review performance and deliverables
Shared brand asset folder (logos templates image library) accessible to both the Creative VA and Ad Specialist

Admin VA: Weekly summary issues flagged
Creative VA: Deliverables progress
Ad Specialist: Weekly metrics (CPC CPA spend performance) next weeks plan
