Summary:
The Safety Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the health safety and compliance of operations within the Hemms Excavators Earthmoving Metals & Mining division at Mechanical Maintenance Company. Reporting from the Bokara Jharkhand location this position is essential for maintaining a safe work environment across high-risk activities such as Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM) operations earthmoving and slag management. The ideal candidate will lead safety initiatives enforce regulatory standards and foster a proactive safety culture that aligns with company goals and industry best practices. This role requires a strategic mindset hands-on experience in industrial safety and a commitment to continuous improvement in operational safety performance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop implement and monitor safety policies and procedures across all operational units.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Lead incident investigation and root cause analysis ensuring timely corrective actions are taken.
- Provide training and guidance to field teams on safety protocols emergency response and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with supervisors and managers to integrate safety into daily operations and project planning.
- Maintain accurate safety records reports and documentation for internal and regulatory review.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability across all levels of the organization.
Requirements

- 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in industrial safety preferably in mining metals or earthmoving environments.
- Diploma in Safety or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Strong knowledge of relevant safety regulations including OSHA local labor laws and industry-specific standards.
- Proven ability to lead safety programs conduct risk assessments and manage incident response.
- Excellent communication leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using safety management tools and reporting systems.
