About Role

The Director position is crucial for driving strategic initiatives within the Entity & Professional Profiles data stewardship cluster ensuring that data solutions align with business objectives and maximize customer value. This role is essential for leading the team in developing scalable innovative data strategies that enhance client decision-making and operational efficiency.

Enterprise Data Organization is seeking a Director with a technical and leadership mindset for Entity & Professional Profiles Data. The role involves working within the Content Team to build technical solutions aligned with the product vision across various content domains.

Key responsibilities include owning/enriching end-to-end process of profiling our core data sets (including entities and professionals) leading our harmonization and integration efforts preparing for prioritization cycles establishing and communicating solution expectations to stakeholders setting collection policies and priorities and ensuring top-notch data quality metrics enhanced SLAs with best-in-class customer responsiveness. The candidate will represent the solution as a subject matter expert participate in pre- and post-sales efforts and collaborate with the data collection teams on integration programs and error guarantees. This highly collaborative role focuses on uniting stakeholders to form and execute successful business strategies. The successful candidate will work within a cross-functional team aligning with Steward Leads Operations Managers Technology Product Sales Marketing and Agile development teams.

The Team:The Public Ownership Institutional Profiles & People Data and Private Markets Cluster serves as a cornerstone in delivering unrivaled insights leading data and technology solutions to the financial industry. The extensive data available on investments and key business decision makers can help you build successful and lasting relationships with Institutional Investors and their consultants.

Within the Public Ownership Institutional Profiles & People Data and Private Markets is a restructured Entity & Professional Profiles team (ex-Institutional Profiles & People) data set which covers the industry-leading CIQ Pro / BigDough / Money Market Directories (MMD) products specializing in profiling of investment management companies Buyside and Sellside firms private equity companies etc. along with their associated professionals (and their standardized job functions titles committee memberships etc). The main remit of the team continues to be a focused approach on all types of profiling for entities and professionals supporting the EDOs needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Entity & Professional Profiles team ensuring alignment with strategic roadmap and communication for supported products such as CIQ/Pro BigDough Money Market Directories (MMD).

  • Define and expand on remit to include ALL types of profiling for entities and professionals where appropriate within EDO.

  • Set an aggressive and results-driven vision for the data set including delivery of harmonization and integration projects aligned with the overall mastering and golden copy rules.

  • Handle all projects connected to the vertical in support of EDOs organizational function including as it relates cross-divisionally.

  • Elevate the role of data stewardship as a glue that connects the relevant pieces in data delivery representing the domain as the primary point of contact.

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of high-scale complex data-driven projects from requirements gathering to implementation.

  • Collaborate strongly with technology teams as the primary Product Owner reviewing or defining user stories and requirements to ensure features meet user and client expectations.

  • Guide collaboration efforts across product owners client support and data management teams to maximize customer value.

  • Direct the development of both tactical and strategic data solutions balancing immediate needs with long-term goals requiring technical resources.

  • Analyze vendor data and create an ingestion strategy for key strategic initiatives.

  • Brainstorm and implement ideas to minimize operative inefficiencies tactically and strategically.

  • Identify automation opportunities using Python Machine Learning or other data methodologies.

  • Convert complex data into easy-to-understand information through data visualization.

  • Ensure scalable strategic and universally applicable entity and professionals data masters are implemented.

  • Standardize documentation for consistent technical support and comprehensive knowledge resources.

  • Manage team communications for new capabilities summarizing updates and sharing release information.

What Were Looking For:

Essential Qualifications:

  • 15 years of work experience in Data Strategy Management & Governance preferably in a financial market data-intensive industry.

  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience with a track record of leading teams to achieve strategic goals.

  • Sound knowledge of backend infrastructure (tables/pipelines/loaders etc.).

  • Hands-on experience in writing and developing SQL Queries.

  • Working knowledge of Databricks Snowflake API Microservices is desirable.

  • Concepts of Data Science LLMs and knowledge of Python are desirable.

  • Experience in Data Mining Analysis and Visualization.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across segments.

  • Highly flexible and able to adapt to a dynamic and changing environment across multiple stakeholders.
