DescriptionWe are seeking an RF Design Engineer to join our expanding team and contribute to shaping the future of quantum technology.
Do you want to be a part of pioneering quantum computing in a world-class quantum ecosystem in the heart of Copenhagen Quantum Foundry Copenhagen is a newly founded company owned by the Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF) aimed at developing next generation quantum computing processor technologies.
Our mission is to establish a foundry capable of manufacturing quantum processing units (QPUs) employing novel methods to meet the extreme requirements for purity and precision needed to bring quantum computing to scale.
About us
Our company is part of a vibrant and growing Danish quantum ecosystem and we collaborate closely with world-leading researchers at Novo Nordisk Foundation Quantum Computing Programme (NQCP ) based at the Niels Bohr Institute University of Copenhagen. NQCP is designed to facilitate and drive research and innovations at multiple levels from developing materials and quantum processor technologies through solutions for the quantum-classical control and readout interface and all the way to quantum algorithms and applications.
In close collaboration with NQCP and international partners we aim to pioneer chip-based fabrication and packaging methods for state-of-the-art quantum processors.
Join our team
As our new RF Design Engineer you will collaborate closely with qubit design teams and external hardware partners to develop high-density packaging and I/O solutions for quantum processors operating at frequencies up to several GHz.
Your primary responsibilities and tasks may include:
- Conducting electromagnetic simulations of multichip module QPU architectures packaging and other rf components to optimize performance and integration.
- Designing microwave components for qubit measurement and qubit system validation supporting both cryogenic and room temperature environments.
- Prototyping RF PCB layouts and coordinating with external partners on PCB layout and production.
- Characterizing cryogenic measurement systems at microwave frequencies including S-parameters analysis noise figure measurements and related diagnostics.
Professional and Personal Qualifications
We are seeking an RF Design Engineer with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams. Your qualifications and experience may include:
- Masters (or higher degree) in electrical engineering or related discipline.
- Min. 2 years of industry experience.
- Solid understanding of microwave engineering principles including the design simulation and validation of microwave circuits.
- Experience with analog circuit simulation and 3D electromagnetic simulations using tools such as Ansys HFSS or equivalent.
- Experience with RF test equipment for measurements and diagnostics.
- Experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer.
- Familiarity with quantum technologies and cryogenic systems.
We offer
Joining our team offers opportunities for professional growth and collaboration with leading experts in the field of quantum computing. We strive to be a world leading foundry and offer competitive salaries along with the many benefits of living in Copenhagen one of the most livable cities in the world.
Benefits also include generous vacation time health insurance a pension scheme and a chance to contribute to a dynamic and innovative team.
