About the Role
We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join our team as a Casual Guest Services Host at SEA LIFE Melbourne part of the Merlin Entertainments group. This role is a Christmas Casual role spanning over 12 weeks of our summer holiday period with the potential for ongoing roles at the end of our peak season.
Reporting to the Guest Services Manager you will be the first impression of the world-famous SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium. Providing world class customer service you will be a friendly face in admissions as well as being a knowledgeable guide at major points throughout the attraction. We are looking for positive energetic team players who are calm under pressure and dedicated to providing the highest quality experience to all guests who walk through the door.
Main responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that the safety and wellbeing of all staff and guests is the number one priority
- Knowledge of all ticket and experience offerings with the key focus on guest satisfaction perceived value for money and delivery of the highest level of service to guests
- Efficient and accurate Point of Sale operations and appropriate payment handling
- Ability to upsell relevant products or experiences confidently and consistently
- Engaging customer service as a guide across multiple areas of the attraction
- Effective and appropriate communication with guests team members supervisors and managers
- Successful guest engagement and operation of our 4D cinema and Virtual Reality experiences
- Maintaining housekeeping and appearance of all Front of House areas
- Involvement in School Holiday campaigns activations and costume character Meet and Greets
Please note that availability for this role over Christmas New Years and January is a must.
About You
To shine in this role you will have a passion for guest experience with a focus on fun. You will display impeccable customer service skills and a positive attitude towards interaction with our guests and upselling techniques. Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but a desire to work in the tourism/attraction industry is essential.
