Job Summary
UPCOMING JOB OPPORTUNITY! Primoris Energy Services is hiring several boilermakers to support upcoming projects in Amarillo and Sherman Texas. These roles will involve assembling disassembling erecting and repairing boilers tanks vats pressure vessels exchangers and heaters according to blueprint specifications.
JOB DUTIES
- Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Select type and size of related materials according to the job specifications.
- Plan sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other construction workers.
- Locate and mark reference points for columns or plates on foundation.
- Align structures or plate sections to assemble boiler frame tanks or vats.
- Align water tubes and connect and expand tube ends to drums and headers.
- Hammer flame-cut file or grind irregular edges of sections or structural parts to facilitate fitting edges together.
- Attach rigging or signal crane operator to lift parts to specified position.
- Bolt or arc-weld structures and sections together.
- Bolt or weld casing sections uptakes stacks baffles and such fabricated parts as chutes air heaters fan stands feeding tube catwalks ladders coal hoppers and safety hatch to frame.
- Install manholes valves gages and feed water connection in drums to complete assembly of water tube boilers.
- Position drums and headers into supports or weld supports to frame.
- Install trays in process towers.
- Assist in testing assembles vessels.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must comply with companys drug and alcohol abuse policy.
- Must be able to pass physical examination pre-employment if necessary and as required by the company.
- Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders scaffolding stairways etc.
- Stoop kneel crouch crawl or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers vessels excavations etc.).
- Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces (dirt concrete asphalt mud gravel etc.)
- Must be clean shaven and able to work while wearing a respirator and other personal protective equipment when required.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- Some industrial/construction/ general labor experience.
- Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.

- Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven long sleeves steel toe boots etc.)
- Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat safety glasses gloves respirator hearing protection safety harness with lanyard etc.)
