What youll be doing

Youll be joining CIBCs Core Banking and Payment Technology as an Intermediate Application Developer is responsible for designing developing testing and implementing applications systems of medium to high complexity that support end-user requirements. The role works in multiple technical areas to perform a broad variety of assignments employing a diverse skillset to develop application codes with guidance on complex applications from senior team members.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Youll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where youll spend 1-3 days per week on-site while other days will be remote.

How youll succeed

  • Programming Skills - Develop code and test computer programs for straightforward assignments. Review evaluate and modify programming systems including encoding testing and debugging.

  • Systems Implementation - Participate in the technical design development and integration of cross functional multi-platform application systems.

  • Planning and Coordination - Interact with stakeholders end users business analysts and technical resources to gather requirements and prepare design specifications as instructed by senior team members.

Who you are

  • You demonstrate 2 years experience. You have strong knowledge of: Object Oriented Design JSON and RESTFul web services. You have written Unit Test and UI Automation an asset if: you know the App Store Publication Process; youve published your own Android or iOS app; you have experience with Jenkins Fast Lane Jira or Confluence and/or other build & deploy tools. Youre a certified professional. Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Technical discipline.
