About the role:
Reporting to the Facilities Lead the Planner/Scheduler is responsible for providing detailed work plans in line with maintenance strategies and mine requirements that improve the efficiency and performance of the Facilities Department.

To be successful we are looking for someone with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. You would be self-motivated and can collaborate well with a team. The ability to multitask prioritize contending demands and remain flexible and organized in a fast-paced environment is vital for success.

In this role you will:

    • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
    • Advise the troubleshooting of equipment failures to determine root cause and initiate appropriate remedial action
    • Ensure all external and internal resources are verified to accommodate the schedule of planned activities
    • Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and other computer applications to support effective and efficient scheduling and reporting functions
    • Support a 13-week schedule window communicate any resource concerns and load appropriately in our CMMS
    • Ensure that weekly schedules are prepared published and issued to all concerned and actively participate in work control
    • Support daily schedule walkthroughs with supervisors to support effective work execution
    • Schedule and participate in post Preventative Maintenance and completed Work Order quality reviews
    • Manage risks that may affect developed schedules such as weather working heights confined or restricted workspace and parts delivery delays
    • Coordinate parts and materials delivery and staging through the Supply Chain
    • Manage work backlogs for accuracy while considering requirements related to parts labor permits drawings facilities support equipment special equipment tooling and instructions
    • Maintain an accurate forecast that adheres to established maintenance strategies while supporting best-in-class asset management strategies
    • Assist with monthly cost forecasting annual budgeting and cost analysis
    • Work regularly with maintainers to build or improve detailed work packages
    • Track and report Key Performance Indicators bringing forward continuous improvement opportunities
    • Commission and decommission equipment and manage their maintenance programs
    • Communicate maintenance plans with key stakeholders across various departments

Requirements:

    • Journeypersons ticket Degree or Diploma in a related subject area or a combination of relevant education and experience in mining or heavy industry
    • Experience in a mobile maintenance environment or other relevant field
    • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite especially Outlook Word and Excel
    • Valid Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent
    • Familiarity with maintenance processes and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System is an asset
$120000 - $149000 a year
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidates relevant experience skills and competencies and considers internal equity.
