Job Summary

This position uses data collected from a variety of cyber defense tools (e.g. IDS alerts firewalls network traffic logs) to analyze events that occur within their environments for the purposes of mitigating threats.

$16.00/hour

Required Qualifications

- Ability to apply cybersecurity and privacy principles to organizational requirements.
- Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols and network security methodologies.
- Knowledge of risk management processes (e.g. methods for assessing and mitigating risk).
- Knowledge of laws regulations policies and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity and privacy.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy principles.
- Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Skill in assessing security controls based on cybersecurity principles and tenets. (e.g. CIS CSC NIST SP 800-53 Cybersecurity Framework etc.).
- Skill in conducting trend analysis.

Work Hours

15 to 28 hours per week between the hours of 8:00am- 5:00pm Monday- Friday.

This position is subject to a criminal background investigation and if applicable an employment history review based on University Policy 3.1.30 and any offer of employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation and/or an employment history review.
