Position Overview:
An urgent care facility in the Bronx is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality care for acute conditions and injuries. This position offers flexible scheduling options and requires at least 6 months of urgent care or emergency medicine experience.

Qualifications:
- Education:Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited NP program.
- Licensure:Active New York State NP License (Required).
- Certification:Board Certified as a Nurse Practitioner (Required).
- Experience:Minimum 6 months in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting.
- Technical Skills:Proficiency in urgent care procedures diagnostic testing wound care and electronic health records.
- Soft Skills:Excellent decision-making ability to work under pressure strong communication and empathy for patients in acute distress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement treatment plans that are appropriate for each patients condition or illness
- Conduct physical examinations and tests to diagnose conditions infections disease processes etc.
- Provide advice to patients about health maintenance hygiene practices diet modification medication use etc.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as wound culture urinalysis and blood tests
- Treat minor wounds cuts and other injuries using sterile techniques to prevent infection
- Provide educational services to patients regarding their illness or injury
- Order diagnostic tests such as X-rays or laboratory tests to help determine the cause of an injury or illness
- Communicate with other healthcare team members to discuss patient care plans
- Provide counseling services to patients with behavioral health problems
