- Depot based in Canning Vale WA
About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will oversee and manage various aspects of horticultural activities and operations relating to teams on site. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience within the Commercial Landscape Maintenance field along with a strong understanding of Roadside/Open Space mowing.
Responsibilities include
- Oversee the teams on-site activities to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Develop & implement daily work schedules
- Carry out regular site inspections and complete site audits.
- Assist in developing and implementing safe work practices fostering a culture of safety within the team.
- Participate in performance reviews to provide feedback and support the professional growth of team members.
- Proactively raise any workplace health and safety (WHS) issues to the State Manager or WHS Advisor for timely resolution.
- Actively participate in scheduled toolbox meetings to discuss safety updates share insights and address concerns.
- Conduct regular WHS inspections to identify potential hazards and promptly report findings to relevant stakeholders.
About You
- Mowing experience
- Experience supervising local government mowing and open space mowing contracts
- Experience overseeing productivity and KPIs across multiple contracts
- Valid White Card
- Valid Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain.
- Valid Drivers license.
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role with demonstrated ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Strong commitment to safe work practices
