A Day in the Life

As a Engineering Maintenance Supervisor in our Billerica MA facility youll lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for the construction and maintenance of equipment used to manufacture life changing products in our growing cardiac ablation portfolio.

You will play a critical role in daily operationsdriving safety quality delivery and productivity while fostering a culture of inclusion innovation and continuous improvement. Your leadership directly contributes to the devices and systems that help clinicians improve patient outcomes worldwide.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Promote an inclusive and safe workplace by modeling Medtronics values and reinforcing positive team behaviors.
• Supervise coach and develop a team of equipment maintenance technicians within a fast-paced regulated manufacturing environment.
• Ensure production schedules quality standards and compliance requirements are met through strong daily floor presence and communication.
• Lead problem-solving and root cause analysis for equipment process and quality issues; implement robust corrective actions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering Quality Supply Chain EHS and Operations to optimize production performance and support new product introductions.
• Utilize Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement tools to streamline workflow and eliminate waste.
• Drive team engagement through recognition feedback training and opportunities for career growth.
• Maintain accurate documentation metrics and reporting aligned with internal and external audit requirements (FDA ISO etc.).

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors degree and minimum of 1 year of relevant experience

Nice to Have

• Bachelors degree with 2 years of technical supervisory experience or an Associate degree with 4 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing operations or technical production environment.
• Demonstrated experience in medical device aerospace or other regulated industry.
• Strong communication organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience leading equipment maintenance teams.

• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing 5S Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Workday SAP etc.) and production scheduling tools.
• Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) Tools including SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
• Familiarity with FDA Quality System Regulation 21 CFR Part 820 ISO 13485 and ISO 14971
• Proficiency in MS Office and manufacturing documentation systems.
• Ability to build trust and engagement across diverse teams.
• Proven track record of developing team members and fostering inclusive leadership practices.
