WHAT YOULL DO

During your 12-month placement youll work within our Clinical Operations Team as part of a structured rotation across three areas. This gives you a comprehensive understanding of how life-saving medicines begin their journey:

• Clinical Operations: After comprehensive training and working alongside the clinical operations team youll work directly with patients and healthy volunteers. Youll assist with tasks such as taking blood samples monitoring vital signs performing ECGs and other study assessments.

• Screening Learn how volunteers are assessed and approved for participation in Phase I clinical trials. You will receive full training to conduct screening appointments completing assessments and entering data into the electronic data capture system.

• Laboratory: Work alongside our Laboratory technicians to process pipette store and ship biological samples. Youll be trained in all aspects of Lab operations related to early-phase Clinical Research.

WHO WERE LOOKING FOR

• You must be a current university student working towards a Bachelors degree in Life or Health Sciences

• You should have started your degree in 2024 and be in your second year of study in 2025-2026 planning a 12-month placement between your second and final year

• Experience managing multiple projects in an academic or professional setting is an advantage

• Strong planning multi-tasking and prioritization skills

• Ability to work to deadlines and collaborate across teams in a fast-paced environment

• Confident MS Office (specifically Excel Word Outlook) skills

• Clear teamwork communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills
