Position Details:

Salary: $70000

As the Postdoctoral fellow you will receive advanced structured clinical training in an innovative practice setting emphasizing accurate diagnosis of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) related disorders and common comorbidities (e.g. body focused repetitive behaviors anxiety disorders ADHD tic disorder etc.) and evidence-based treatment for children adolescents young adults and their families in both standard outpatient and intensive outpatient modalities. You will also participate in didactic learning and supervision as well as engaging in community education and extern supervision. You will gain specialized experience in treatments including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) exposure and response prevention (ERP) Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) in addition to the intensive delivery of CBT and ERP through the Intensive OCD Program. Furthermore you will attend weekly team meetings present in the community and collaborate on educational and research initiatives. Opportunities for further training in the treatment of selective mutism and social anxiety disorder may also be available.

TheChild Mind Institute will be accepting applications for a one-year full time postdoctoral fellowship in the Bubrick Center for Pediatric OCD for 2026-2027. The fellowship will begin as early as July 1 2026. Consideration will also be given to candidates who complete their pre-doctoral internship by the end of August 2026. This is an exempt position located in our New York City headquarters which offers a generous salary and full benefits as well as support for attending a professional conference or continuing education trainings.

Reporting to the Associate Clinical Director this is a full-time and exempt position in office 4 days per week and 1 day remote.

Primary Faculty:

The Bubrick Center for Pediatric OCD includes leading clinical psychologists social workers and mental health counselors. Center staff regularly collaborates with pediatric neuropsychologists child and adolescent psychiatrists and child and adolescent psychologists and other staff from our multidisciplinary clinical team.

You Will:

  • Conduct semi-structured clinical diagnostic assessments and write diagnostic assessment reports.
  • Provide evidence-based weekly and intensive outpatient treatment for children adolescents young adults and their families including but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) exposure and response prevention (ERP) Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
  • Co-treat OCD intensives with other clinicians.
  • Provide supervision to other trainees under umbrella supervision of a licensed psychologist.
  • Collaborate with our board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists on cases requiring pharmacotherapy.
  • Participate in supervision educational didactics case conferences team meetings and lecture series.

Pay Range

The salary range for the position is posted. Factors such as candidates work experience education/training job-related skills internal peer equity as well as market and business considerations affect the salary offered within this addition this salary may be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state and depending on the role) if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
