Program Overview
The 2026-2027 Starr Global Associates Program is a dynamic accelerated 12-month training program designed to identify cultivate and retain high-potential college graduates. This program offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and build a strong foundation in the insurance industry.
As an Associate you will work in one of Starrs various departments learning the business and contributing to your team. The Associates Program complements your department work by offering professional development opportunities including direct exposure to senior leadership technical training and a comprehensive understanding of key functions throughout the organization.
About Starr
This Associates position will work in the Account Services Management Department in Chicago IL.
Key Account Service Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Communicate account program and coordinate with appropriate parties: Coordinate and schedule New Business Kickoff meeting with client broker TPA and Starr Team. Communicate with broker on renewals.
- Coordinate Claim Reviews: Work with TPA in scheduling and attending the claim reviews. Follow up with any outstanding issues after the claim review.
- Support operational risk and compliance: Complete loss run requests and submit TPA System Access Requests.
- Liaison for the Client Broker and TPA and Starrs Underwriters Claims Loss Control and Billing Departments: Respond to Broker Insured and Starr internal departments requests timely. Serve as the single point of contact for the client and brokers for any service-related questions.
- Report Preparation: Assist in preparing reports as needed ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Marketing & Presentation Support: Develop presentations and marketing materials to support departmental initiatives.
- Additional Duties: Provide general support as directed by the department manager contributing to the smooth operation of the team.
Associates Program Responsibilities:
- Continuing Education: Study for and pass an exam or designation related to your job function during the program (i.e. a course offered through The Institutes).
- Group Project: Collaborate with fellow Associates on a project related to emerging technologies internal initiatives or process improvement.
- Home Office Visits: Participate in home office visits to New York City for hands-on training management discussions and team-building social events.
- Cross-Departmental Learning: Hear from professionals in key insurance areas like claims credit actuarial science underwriting and reinsurance to get holistic understanding of Starrs operations.

- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- A self-motivated entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for learning and growth and demonstrated leadership potential.
- Risk Management/Insurance and Business majors preferred; some positions may require different areas of study.
- A completed undergraduate degree is required before the program begins in June 2026
Compensation & Benefits:
For individuals based in New York Starr Insurance Companies is required by law to provide a compensation range. The estimated wage range for this role is $66000-$82000 which reflects factors such as skills experience licensure certifications and organizational needs.
