Job summary:
We are looking for a PMO Analyst who is eager to transition from a finance focused background into a Project Management Office role. This position is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills a good understanding of financial metrics and an interest in developing expertise in project governance reporting and project performance tracking.
Responsibilities and duties:
Collect consolidate and analyze project progress data producing reports on timesheets budget vs. forecast vs. actual spend revenue forecast and profitability.
Provide project control support by monitoring project performance and ensuring adherence to timelines budgets and internal processes.
Oversee resource allocation and billability tracking to maximize project efficiency and identify potential gaps.
Track timesheet bookings invoicing and overall project profitability ensuring Project Managers remain accountable for project financials.
Support Project Managers in financial reporting activities and the preparation of project documentation.
Ensure accurate and timely compilation of project financial documentation and status reports.
Qualifications and skills:
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Solid understanding of financial concepts performance indicators and budgeting processes.
- Interest in project management methodologies and PMO best practices; previous exposure is a plus.
- Ability to interpret financial and operational data and translate it into meaningful insights.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Good communication skills with fluency in English (written and verbal).
- Prior experience in reporting financial analysis or similar roles is highly beneficial; experience in a PMO or project control environment is a plus.
- Proficiency with Excel and/or reporting tools is an advantage.
